About Adam

Adam Chapman (1990, Toronto) received his BFA from OCAD University in 2013, and participated in the school’s Florence Off-Campus Program in 2012. Adam’s work focuses on the passage of time, depicting the transitory nature of our commonplaces through a noticeably chaotic perspective. These visceral and emotive compositions are achieved through irreverent photography – haphazardly snapping shots during daily transit. They are then painted onto brightly gilded canvases using gestural brushstrokes and strong colour palettes. His work is part of the permanent collection of the City of Toronto, and private collections across North America.

I’m looking for a unique Christmas gift for my wife, who saw and loved your painings at the Women’s College Hospital Foundation event last spring. Do you have any paintings for sale?
