Stemming from Sojourn (2012), which defined my 8 month journey as part of OCAD’s Florence Studies, Megalomania delves into my struggle to reintegrate with downtown Toronto. A large-scale representation of Dundas Square, this piece was as much a struggle to engineer as once again becoming surrounded by the fast-paced ferocity of the city.

Megalomania is the delusion about one’s own power or importance. In the same way, I strove to disregard the connotations of unworthiness to understand that each part of Toronto’s community, no matter the apparent significance, amounts to a mosaic of inspiring diversity.
